The short cotton fibres which frame the seed of the cotton plant are called linter. When producing cotton seed oil, these fibres are separated and can be used for various products, after having been intensely cleaned and treated.
Cordier Spezialpapier GmbH has processed cotton linter for decades. Selected and special cotton papers are made in the Illig’sche Paper Mill out of this manufactured cotton linter pulp. The characteristics of the customers’ final product are already considered when producing the linter pulp. Depending on the future usage, we can preset parameters of the linter like viscosity, stability, porosity and absorbative capacity.
Mostly, linter pulp is bleached, but we can also offer non-bleached cotton linter pulp.
